We ask that you make an appointment (either by ringing or online) prior to coming to the surgery for an appointment.
All Medical examinations, first visits, forms to be completed, removal of lesions, PAP smears or if you have several points you wish to discuss with the Doctor, then we ask that you make a double appointment. This will help to reduce waiting times in the surgery.
For after-hours emergency treatment either ring an ambulance on 000 or present to Albany Health Campus Accident & Emergency Department.
If you have health concerns after hours, patients may call the after-hours GP help line which is available 24 hours for practical medical advice and reassurance.
As a rural practice we are very mindful of the difficulty many of our patients have in gaining timely, affordable access to specialist medical advice in the city.
We are happy when appropriate, to offer Teleconferencing with specialist's in Perth (if they are also willing), our nurses or the practice manager will coordinate these appointments taking into account the availability of all concerned.
Whenever we arrange the video conferences we endeavor for your GP or the practice nurse to be present with you while you speak with the specialist.
Fees & Billing Arrangements
We are a private billing practice and so do not routinely bulk bill. However all children under the age of 16 are bulked billed as are pensioners, we also offer discount rates for health care card holders. We also bulk bill for Chronic Disease Management plans and some Health Assessments. All fee are payable at the time of consultation.
Patient claiming directly to Medicare is available via Easyclaim/patient claiming which enables refunds directly into your cheque/savings account.
All fee structures are displayed in the waiting room and are available on request at the reception desk. If having to pay fees will cause undue hardship please discuss with either the Practice Manager or the Doctor.
